Model Build: Continuing with the Tie...

Continuing with the fighter

This post, follows the continuation of the tie fighter build. As you can see the use of basic shapes continues as the rods are slowly built around the tie fighter body. Nevertheless the use of the mirror cut tool allowed me to create a quick copy of the strut and then uncouple the new copy from its original.
The creation of the new wings went surprisingly well as the single use of a cube and the use of the re-scaling tool as well as the add divisions option. This way, the cube was molded into a tie fighter wing. As you can see in the image below, the ready wing is now being attached.
Adding the stability struts were done in the same way as the struts from the tiller steering wheel. While it was possible to add them while the model was getting textured, the overall effect would not be sufficient as the model would be in close proximity to the camera and detail is crucial for the side.
The use of schematics was quite useful as this way, the model could be with the correct size. This is why once the wings were correctly attached, extra support frames were added in order to increase the quality of the final model. Furthermore, by mirroring the wing extras, the time taken for creating the final model was significantly decreased and the symmetrical accuracy was kept at an optimum high.
There now some small bits left to add. While the model is basically ready, there are still some small details with which, the model would look complete.
